Here's what my students say...
" I have dabbled in needlework over the years and I've experienced some pleasure and success. Michelle has opened new dimensions of creativity, satisfaction and entertainment for me and my knitting and crocheting. She has a gift for knowing what works for you and how to inspire you. My undertakings are exciting to me and I look forward with such pleasurable anticipation to what's next. Michelle's knowledge and experience are both deep and wide, and she shares so generously with us. We are planning new adventures and I can't wait to see what comes up next. "I moved to Hatteras in September 2013. For me, It was a sad move. I missed my Ohio family, friends and church. A few friends and i decided to take Michelles knitting class. When I walked into the room , I was greeted by a beautiful smile and a loving presence. Michelle always has patience, laughter and love in her soul. I cherish her friendship."

Michelle inspires me in so many ways! A Single mom who raised 3 beautiful kids and instilled all three with the love of art. Her ability to put colors together always makes me stop pause and think "I would never have done that and I love it! She has the ability to get people to step out of their comfort zone and just create. She got me back into knitting and her patience was unwavering. My time spent with her crafting and reflecting on life has allowed me to see things differently and just be more appreciative. Love this woman!

Michelle had taught me to normalize my stitches. I used to knit, but I knew that something was wrong. My work didn't look like anyone else's. Michelle taught me to blend textures and colors. My work is fun now. It relaxes me and I look forward to working on it. The outcome is unique because Michelle has inspired my creative juices. Thank you for the patience you share along with your vast knowledge of fiber art.

Michelle constantly reminds me that everyone works at their own individual pace and that everyone has different talents. She has empowered me to continue my learning and practice the new techniques that I have learned. I might have to remove stitches and start over more than others have to, but I eventually am able to do what I intended to do. Michelle has helped me to see that I am a creative person and that I can make beautiful items. I believe in the future I will master knitting and hopefully make fewer mistakes. Then, I feel that I can continue to become more creative with Michelle as my inspiration.

Recently, after experiencing a life changing move to a new state, I joined Michelle's knitting class. Not only is Michelle a knowledgeable and patient fiber arts teacher, she is also a wonderful life coach. Through my new found love of knitting, I am feeling less stress , more comfortable in my new community and look forward to the camaraderie during our weekly sessions.

"A few years ago I took a workshop from Michelle...I felt so comfortable and uninhibited with her. The words to this song came to mind with her-
'This little light of min..I'm gonna let it shine'.
Thanks Michelle for showing me that I can shine even on a rainy day."

I have loved knitting with Michelle. If you are a beginner or expert, it is a great way to spend a relaxing morning with an interesting and fascinating woman who knows her crafting. Thank you for two great vacation knitting events. Love them!
