As we begin our 3rd year of our knitting circle at Blue Pelican Gallery Gifts & Yarn I would like to spotlight one of our knitters. Lynn joined us in the summer of '15 when she relocated permanently to Hatteras Island from Virginia. She was a long time knitter and crocheted. Her intent in joining our group was to learn knew techniques and to meet new people in the community. She had retired from Social Work and working at Target. Lynn has a brilliant mind and a lot of knowledge to offer. She loves the fiber arts, traveling, sci-fi, fishing, beading, reading, art history and the classics.
Since joining the group she has mastered the art of our 'Yarntaster' throw. Lynn crochets hers with a large crochet hook. She has become a painter of yarn in mixing colors and textures into her blankets. Each one is unique, warm, cozy and filled with love. She has been very prolific and has given her family and friends wonderful heirlooms to be cherished. It's been a wonderful experience getting to know Lynn and I can't wait to see what she creates this year
